Encouraging

I got a surprise mail from a good friend last Wednesday. I honestly cannot remember how long I've known him, but it must've been more than 4-5 years. Even we've only known each other online, he has been a great source of strength and that was enough. The mail came just right in time when I needed some encouragement.

Ain't it pretty?
Thank you.

Please see his works here. He's an awesome artist. ∩(︶▽︶)∩

My Postcrossing Box (Part 2)

I'm about to reach my first year anniversary in Postcrossing. Needless to say, my passion for it is declining, but my interest for snail mail is still there, it's just that I won't be as active (or as addicted) as before. My interests varies from time to time, and I'm glad this one took quite some time! Before I was more interested with what's on the picture, but as they grow a pile on my box, I noticed that I couldn't even remember where more than half of it came from. It was too late when I realized that I was investing on quantity, and not really caring about the content. Well, some of the postcrossers do I think. Now I'm more interested on their stories and having a good conversation on paper. I just wish an awesome friendship comes out of it to make things worthwhile.

Just to clarify, I was never a fan of the Twilight saga. Sorry.

Christmas Envelopes

I know it's late, but who cares?

My friend, Natalie sends the best cards ever. She has never sent something I won't like. I like that the inside text is, "Peace On Earth" instead of "Merry Christmas". I love the tea bags, very sweet of her. I'm reserving them for book reading afternoons. I would love drink tea with her, if only Manila and Illinois are just streets apart. Twinings and Tazo are locally available, I think. Not sure with Chami.

Eun-a, a Postcrosser from South Korea sent these. She often sends really cute stuff. Too bad I had to use the purple postcard for another Postcrosser from Japan because that person likes that color and I don't have a postcard that matches her preference.

These are from Alla. She sends the nicest cards ever from Russia.

She has a lovely writing. Such a nice lady, I believe.

These are from John, a Postcrosser from Massachusetts.
I wish we have pretty greeting cards like that here in the Philippines!

I got these officially from Ania, a kind Polish Postcrosser. She sent two cards so that my mother can have one as well. Ania and Mama both adore Pope John Paul II.

I just love snail mail. ლ(╹◡╹ლ)  People can be just so kind too!

In other news, my friend, Sophie got an offer from the University of Oxford to study.
(❁´◡`❁)*✲゚* Couldn't be happier for her! Hope she gets accepted. Hello, Universe!

My Postcrossing Box (Part 1)

Since I started Postcrossing last March 2012, I've spent so much money on stamps and postcards. It's quite an expensive hobby for an average earner like me, especially that I participate in direct swapping (which was very addicting at some point). I've have refrained myself doing direct swaps these days because I have spent quite some money for the Elton John & The Band Concert next month. Maybe I'll continue the direct swaps after the New Year. :)

Before I knew it, I didn't know I've got these much already! It was only last September when I've decided to put it in a box. Before, they were just in a large plastic envelope. ヽ(ー_ー )ノ
